1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help site owners understand how visitors use the site and measure the effectiveness of advertising. They do not contain personal information like your name or email.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies
None currently. We have no login system, no shopping cart, and no features that require cookies to function. The site works without any cookies.
Analytics cookies (planned, not yet active)
Google Analytics 4 will set the following cookies when implemented:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Maintains session state | 2 years |
GA4 tracks page views, session duration, and traffic sources. It helps us understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from. Data is processed by Google.
Marketing cookies (planned, not yet active)
Meta Pixel will set the following cookie when implemented:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Tracks ad conversions from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns | 90 days |
The Meta Pixel helps us measure whether our ads are working. It tells us if someone who clicked a Meta ad later submitted our audit form. Data is processed by Meta.
3. Third-party cookies
GA4 and Meta Pixel set cookies from their own domains (google-analytics.com and facebook.com respectively). We do not control those cookies directly. Their privacy policies govern how they process the data.
4. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. What happens if you disable cookies
The site works normally without cookies. You can read all content, submit the audit form, and use every feature. The only difference: we cannot track analytics or measure ad conversions. That affects our data, not your experience.
6. Updates
We update this page when we add new tracking tools or change how cookies are used. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
